Unique Portrait operates this store and website, including all information, content, features, tools, products and related services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a personalized shopping experience (the “Services”). Unique Portrait is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you access or use the Services, make a purchase or any other transaction, or communicate with us in any other way. In the event of a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy prevails with respect to the collection, processing and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing and using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and that you understand how your information is collected, used and disclosed as described here.
AI portrait generation (specific to Unique Portrait)
As part of our personalized portrait service, we process the photo you upload (which may contain the image of a face — personal data — or of your pet) for the sole purpose of generating your artistic portrait. This processing is based on your consent (collected at the time of upload) and on the performance of the sales contract.
- Generation processor: your photo is sent to OpenAI solely to produce the portrait. Our plan does not allow your images to be used for AI model training.
- Image hosting: the original photo, the generated previews and the final image are stored securely with Cloudflare R2, in the European Union jurisdiction.
- Retention periods: the original photo is deleted automatically within 7 days; generation previews within 30 days; the final image attached to your order is kept for up to 90 days (after-sales service), then deleted.
- Right to erasure: you can request immediate deletion of your images at any time by writing to us through our contact page.
We do not sell your photos and we do not use them for any purpose other than creating your portrait and handling your order.
